Raeanne Niemer~Group Fitness, Massage

Owner and director of Get emPowered Fitness Studio

 

Raeanne Niemer has over 25 years experience in the fitness industry as an instructor, coordinator and continuing education provider for ACE and AFAA.  She is a former dancer and internationally competitive gymnast.  She has a BS from Western Michigan University and is certified by ACE, AFAA, willPower & grace® Phase 1 and 2,  girlPower® , Barre-Fusion®, and Ignite® and Step Reebok.  She is also a BOSU master trainer.  She has a passion for empowering participants to seek a healthy, fit, postive lifestyle. 

 

Raeanne is a Licensed and Nationally Board Certified Massage Therapist with training in medical massage, therapeutic massage, sports massage and accupressure.  She is also trained in kinesiotex taping.  She was certified in 2007 from Blue Heron Academy and the American Medical Massage Association.  Her fitness experience works in great combination with her massage training to help her clients stay fit, less stressed, detoxified...and healthy!

Jami Kok~Group Fitness

Jami loves people and is passionate about health and WHOLEness. She desires to see her students and clients whole in mind, body, soul  and spirit. She is an encourager and exhorter. Her original design is to coach and cheer you on toward wholeness and freedom.

Jami has a BS Degree from Grand Valley State University in Physical Education with an emphasis in Corporate Wellness. She is certified in Group Fitness (Revelation Wellness®), Yoga (Holy Yoga®), GROOVE® and Indoor Cycling (FiTour®). She also has specialized training in Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Yoga with Weights, Pilates and Lifestyle Wellness Coaching. She is a Weigh Less to Free More® facilitator. Jami instructs the whole person (spirit, mind,body), knowing that true transformation comes from the inside out and that anything else is just behavior modification. She is interested in your spiritual, emotional, physical, intellectual, social, environmental and vocational health. She knows and believes it's all important to living a full and free life. Jami loves community and simply delights in coming alongside people wherever they're at on their path toward health and wholeness.

Ben Myslenski~Personal Training, Group Fitness

 

Ben has a BS from Ferris State University in Recreation Leadership and Management.  He is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer.  Also Red Cross CPR, AED, and First Aid Certified.  And specializes in fitness conditioning and weight loss.

Ben has prior experience working in a women’s only fitness studio in Washington D.C and is passionate about changing lives through health and fitness.

Kendall Niemer~Group Fitness

Kendall Niemer has been instructing group fitness classes since May, 2012. She is AFAA Primary Group Exercise Certified as well as willPower & grace® Phase 1 certified. She loves every minute of teaching. She started teaching after performing as a ballet dancer with Grand Rapids Ballet Company for 13 years and one year with Western Michigan University’s dance department. Fitness is now her passion, her thing, and her life. She looks forward to helping others achieve a healthier more positive lifestyle for many years to come.

Stacy Wakeman~Group Fitness, Corrective Exercise

Stacy Wakeman has been actively involved in the fitness industry and has been teaching group exercise classes since 1995 .  She is currently  certified by YogaFit Training Systems Level 1 and certified through NASM both as a Group Fitness Trainer and a Corrective Exercise Specialist.  Stacy is the founder of Balanced Strength, a worship-through-movement fitness program.  Her passion for whole-person fitness is based on the belief that each person is "fearfully and wonderfully made," and works to help each person care for their mind, body and spirit so they can reach their full potential while living a thriving, balanced life.

 

Flor Zayas-Reyes~Group Fitness 

 

Flor Zayas-Reyes was part of our original Get emPowered Fitness Team and will never be forgotten.  She danced with the Contemporary Dance of Plastic Arts of the University of Guadalajara for several years. She was an instructor of Yoga, Latin Rhythms and willPower & grace®. Certified by YogaFit Training Systems Level 1, Zumba trained, and willPower & grace® Phase 1 certified. She enjoyed teaming with people to achieve the healthy lifestyle they wish to achieve.  We lost this beautiful person to an auto accident in March 2014, but she will always be with us as a part of our team, our studio and our philosophy to help others through fitness.

Sundays: closed

Mondays: 9:15am-12pm, 5:45-8pm

Tuesdays: 9am-11pm, 6:00-7:15pm

Wednesdays: 8:30am-12pm, 5:45-8pm

Thursdays:  9am-11pm, 6:00-7:15pm

Fridays: 8:30am-10am

Saturdays 8:30-11am
